Coming up on May 9th: it's our next book discussion, featuring the novel "Harlem Shuffle" by Colson Whitehead! We currently have copies of the book available to borrow at the library (including in large print and audio formats). Stop in today to pick yours up, and join us here for the discussion next Friday at 2 pm!
The library's annual book, plant, and rummage sale is just two weeks away! This event is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and this time we're going even bigger by extending the sale to *four* days! Come early for the best selection, come late for the best discounts...or get the best of both worlds, and be here for both 😉![]()

The next session of the Philo Cafe is coming up this Thursday! Join us on May 1st (and every first and third Thursday) at 6:30 pm for this discussion group, which features a wide variety of topics proposed by members. We hope to see you there!
1000 books? Before kindergarten?! It's more likely than you think! As the creators of this program point out, a single picture book per night adds up quickly, and represents a wonderful opportunity to bond with children while instilling a love a reading. To make picking out books easier than ever, we have bags available containing 10 pre-selected picture books (or 5 board books, for younger children). Feel free to grab one next time you're in our children's room!
What *can* we learn from penguins, other than presumably how to look fabulous in photographs?
